Getting Started

Complimentary Image Review: A conversation before the retouching conversation.

Would it be helpful to review the photographs together before making the final selection? I offer complimentary image consultations. Visit the Services page for details. If you’re ready to get started, keep reading. The process is outlined below.

Sending Files

You have 3 options:
1) Upload Files: You can send files through the Get a Quote form right here on the ChromaQueen site.

2) DropBox: If you prefer, I can set up a DropBox folder. This will allow you to have a shared folder on your desktop. This is the more convenient option if you’re in the process of gathering photos together and/or you have more than 5 photos for the initial review. Contact me and I’ll set up a shared folder.

3) Email Submission: Email submissions are also welcome. The total file size of all attached images must be 20MB or smaller.

After our initial conversation and a review of the files, I will provide a detailed written quote outlining the work to be performed.

Pricing Structure

No two images are alike so each job is quoted on a project-by-project basis. The retouching fee is based on a calculation of task, time, and complexity. I work diligently with clients to stay within budget, prioritizing tasks to maximize results.

Turn-Around Time

After reviewing the editing requests, I will provide a completion timeline. If the project is on a tight deadline, reach out sooner than later with the details.

Deposit/Payments

A deposit is required at the start of the project with the balance due upon delivery of the completed files. Save a little greenback. A 5% discount is available if you pay in full at the start of the project.

Here’s a list of common questions I’m often asked by future clients like you.

I do some Photoshop work. Can we work jointly on the same photograph?

Many designers and photographers love working in Photoshop and are well versed in many aspects of the program. So yes, it is perfectly fine to take a photo to a certain point and pass it to ChromaQueen for further adjustments.

Here’s when it’s best to get me involved at the beginning:

• If the photo is under or over-exposed

• If a color cast is hindering the design process

• When the overarching question is whether the image can be saved

• When the retouching required surpasses your comfort level

• When your time is better spent on other aspects of the project

How will I know my files were received?

You will receive a confirmation email.

How long does it take to get a quote?

Written quotes are provided within 48 hours. If the project is a rush, we can expedite the review process and move things along!
